X-linked retinoschisis (XLRS) is an inherited retinal disorder with severe retinoschisis and visual impairments. Multiomics approaches integrate single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) and spatiotemporal transcriptomics (ST) offering potential for dissecting transcriptional networks and revealing cell-cell interactions involved in biomolecular pathomechanisms.
