Background: The "Bridge Project" is a Mexico in Alliance with St. Jude (MAS) initiative developed in 2019 to improve access, accuracy, and timeliness of specialized diagnostic studies for patients with suspected acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The project strategy relies on service centralization to improve service delivery, biological characterization, risk-group classification, and support proper treatment allocation.

This retrospective study aimed to analyze outcomes for pediatric ALL at 16 centers in Mexico.
Methods: Patients <18 years of age with newly diagnosed B- and T-cell ALL treated between January 2011 and December 2019 were included.

Background: we have based our study on the fact that the labour market is progressively becoming more accessible for people with disabilities. This investigation aims to identify the factors that contribute to high levels of work-related stress in a group of disabled individuals in order to develop policies to prevent it and promote the health of the workforce.
Methods: 131 workers from two Special Employment Centres (SECs) of the Amica Association in Cantabria (Spain) participated in the study.
Epithelial cells lining the intestinal mucosa constitute a selective-semipermeable barrier acting as first line of defense in the organism. The number of those cells remains constant during physiological conditions, but disruption of epithelial cell homeostasis has been observed in several pathologies. During colitis, epithelial cell proliferation decreases and cell death augments.

Loss of von Hippel-Lindau protein (pVHL) has been shown to stabilize β-catenin, increasing β-catenin transactivation and β-catenin-mediated cell proliferation. However, the role of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt in the regulation of β-catenin signaling downstream from pVHL has never been addressed.
