Purpose: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of retrievable scaffold therapy combined with sirolimus-coated balloon angioplasty for treating infrapopliteal artery lesions.
Methods: The DEEPER LIMUS study enrolled Rutherford class 3 to 5 patients with infrapopliteal artery disease. Patients underwent vessel preparation with retrievable scaffold therapy followed by sirolimus-coated balloon angioplasty.
Magnetic drug targeting requires particles to move through the complex viscoelastic environments of tissues and biological fluids. However, these environments often inhibit particle motion, making it difficult for magnetically guided particles to reach their intended targets. Magnetic microrods are easy to grow and manipulate, but experience significant hindrance to transport in complex, tortuous, tissue-like environments.

Multidisciplinary intervention, including successful surgical excision of the intracardiac mass, highlights the importance of coordinated care and vigilant follow-up in optimizing patient outcomes and preventing life-threatening complications.

Anticoagulation alone remains the guideline-recommended treatment for many patients with iliofemoral DVT. Recent technological advances have led to an increase in the use of mechanical thrombectomy for DVT, but mechanical thrombectomy-based procedures have not yet been compared with standard-of-care anticoagulation therapy in randomized studies.
