The authors have developed a new effective method for surgical treatment of complicated colostomy: intraabdominal reconstruction of colostomy with retroperitoneal pull and laying of prestomal segment of the sygmoid colon.

It consists in transanal resection of the rectum with creation of a recto-anal anastomosis. Transanal resection of the rectum was performed on 34 patients.
