[Effectiveness of cytochrome P-450 inducer Benzonal in the treatment of acute hepatitis].

Forty-six patients with acute viral hepatitis (AVH) varying in severity received standard therapy. Twenty of them were given an adjuvant 6-day course of benzonal. The activity of liver monooxygenase was evaluated before, after treatment (for 6-8 days) and at the height of the disease using antipyrine++ test.
