Clinico-anatomic observation of autosomal-recessive renal cystic disease and congenital hepatic fibrosis at two fetuses from the same family was done. Mutation of His3124Tyr in 58 exon of PKHD1 gene in heterozygous state was found out. The same pathomorphological changes in the epithelium of cystic renal tubules and bile ducts of the liver were noted.

Respiratory quotients and enzyme activity were determined in yeast cultures of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Kluyveromyces sp., both suspended and immobilized on acrylonitrile fibers. Immobilization induced changes in the cell metabolism resulting in activation of the basic metabolic pathway of the given type of yeast cells.

The probabilities of inspiratory on- and off-switches during the ECG's R-R interval were studied in 27 anesthetized cats. The tops of the high-probability peaks were located in the middle or in the second half of the R-R interval for the inspiratory off-switches. The effect of heart rate on the respiratory rhythm seems to be transmitted through the inspiratory off-switch mechanism.

In 27 anesthetized cats, histograms of the ECG respiratory cycle phases distribution revealed that in 89% of cases the histograms were significantly non-uniform. The heart rate (HR) was relatively constant: high probability of respiratory phases switching was conditioned by the HR influences on respiratory rhythm. The intensity of such influence was about 10% on the average.
