Aim      To study the clinical course of non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) in hospitalized patients after COVID-19 and to evaluate the effect of baseline characteristics of patients on the risk of complications.Material and methods  The study included 209 patients with NSTEMI; 104 of them had had COVID-19. The course of myocardial infarction (MI) was analyzed at the hospital stage, including evaluation of the incidence rate of complications (fatal outcome, recurrent MI, life-threatening arrhythmias and conduction disorders, pulmonary edema, cardiogenic shock, ischemic stroke, gastrointestinal bleeding).

Presented in the article is a clinical case report regarding management of an 82-year-old female patient with late complications after staged treatment for an aneurysm of the descending and abdominal portions of the aorta, with the first stage consisting in endoprosthetic repair of the descending aortic portion and the second stage (after 4 months) in endoprosthetic repair of the abdominal aortic portion. Outpatient computed tomography performed 9 months after endoprosthetic repair of the abdominal aorta revealed an increase in aortic diameter over the distance between two stent grafts in the thoracic and abdominal aortic portions from 44 mm to 76 mm. In May 2019, a repeat operation was performed: resection of the aneurysm of the distal portion of the descending aorta on temporary subclavian-femoral and prosthesis-femoral shunts, with dissection of part of the thoracic stent graft, followed by formation of a proximal anastomosis between the endoprosthesis and a 30-mm linear Dacron prosthesis, and a distal anastomosis above the celiac trunk.

Aim: Effects of levosimendan treatment compared to dopamine treatment on a clinical course, central hemodynamics and prognosis in patients with resistant cardiac failure (RCF).

Material And Methods: A total of 30 RCF patients (16 females and 14 males aged 50-80 years) were divided into two groups. Patients of group 1 received inotropic drug levosimendan intravenously in the initial dose 12-24 mcg/kgfor 10 min with subsequent 24-hour infusion in a dose 0.

Morphological and spectral X-ray analysis of carious and noncarious extracted teeth showed the patterns of dentin ossification in caries of different degree. Parietal ectopic ossification of the canal and cavity lumens in stages III and IV dental caries is regarded as a specific structural marker of pathological regeneration. The X-ray spectral analysis showed that the progress of carious process is paralleled by loss of mineral components.
