[Prognostic factors in bladder cancer].

DNA distribution was studied in tumor cells of 54 patients with bladder cancer. Diploid and aneuploid distributions were recorded in 34 and 20 cases, respectively. Aneuploid DNA proved to be a negative prognostic factor as 5-year survival of such patients made up 48.

[The prognostic value of flow cytometry in prostatic cancer].

DNA quantitation by flow cytometry was made in 36 patients with morphologically diagnosed prostatic cancer (PC) in stage II, III and IV (4, 14 and 18 patients, respectively). All the patients received adequate treatment. Aneuploid tumours were found in 25 patients (group 1), diploid ones in 11 patients (group 2).
