The authors report the case of a lightning-fast course of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in a 49-year female patient. The diagnosis was based on complaints, clinical picture, electroneuromyography and tomography of the cervical spine. The nature of the course of the disease was fulminant, since 6 months passed from the onset of the first symptoms to the pronounced process, and then to the fatal outcome.
