An examination of 1230 patients with an analysis of results of the data obtained has proved rationality of using the evolutionary pathogenetic classification. New information was obtained on the relation of stages of the disease development with the duration and activity of the pathological process which allows orientation of specialists to the development of corresponding trends in surgical treatment of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, radically prophylactic and restorative operations in particular.

In accordance with the principle of component plasty the authors have developed methods of procurement of the alloplastic material and its use. The following plastic materials are procured and supplied to health service: spongy bone allotransplants devoid of bone marrow (allospongiosis BS), allotransplants of the viable joint cartilage on a thin bone base (allocartilage BS) and demineralized bone matrix in the form of a film for protection of the bone formation zone and stimulation of osteogenesis (allofilm BS). Results of the component plasty in 300 patients are much superior in their efficiency to those known earlier.

The article gives theoretical grounds of the principle of component plasty. According to it, the osseous organ is considered as a polycomponent system consisting of a number of tissues with quite different biological properties which should be transplanted differentially and purposefully, with special reference to the purpose of the surgical intervention. Theoretical grounds are presented for using mineralized (native) compact bone, demineralized matrix of the compact bone, spongy bone, joint cartilage, bone marrow and periosteum.

This protease was active at the concentration 10-50 ng/ml, which provided extensive neurite outgrowth in the bioassay, compared to the control. Terrilytin may be used for stimulating regenerating processes in nervous tissue.

The investigation was performed in 24 isolated preparations of the spine, experiments in 33 rabbits and 8 dogs and clinical observation of 43 patients who were subjected to posterior fixation of the spine with copolymer Acryloxide by the method proposed by the authors. It was established that the method is very effective and may be recommended for wide practical use.
