Aim: To evaluate characteristics of atherosclerotic plaques (ASP) remaining after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) by coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA).

Material And Methods: Among 249 patients (193 men) with ACS aged 58±10 years, 183 (73.5%) had myocardial infarction, 66 (26.

Aim    To determine existence of a relationship between any clinical, echocardiographic and coronarographic factors and increased spatial QRS-T (sQRS-T) angle and frontal QRS-T (fQRS-T) angle in patients with anterior myocardial infarction.Material and methods    This study included 137 patients aged 62 [53; 72] years with anterior acute myocardial infarction managed at the A.L.

Objective - to compare the concentrations of inflammatory markers interleukin-6, CRP, and lactoferrin in the serum of patients with benign diseases of the rectum, depending on the volume of surgical intervention and evaluate their changes in different periods after surgery. Been surveyed 92 patients: 54 patients (control group) were operated on for one of the three diseases - chronic hemorrhoids, fistula rectum and chronic anal fissure, 38 patients (main group) operated simultaneously over two or more diseases (combined pathology), where the main were diagnosed with the above diseases. In both groups of patients was determined concentration of interleukin-6, CRP and lactoferrin in serum before surgery, on 3 and 7 days after surgery.

Aim      To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of cardiac perfusion computed tomography (PCT) with transesophageal electrocardiostimulation (TE ECS) for detection of ischemia in patients with borderline coronary stenosis (50-75 %) compared to measurements of fractional flow reserve (FFR).Material and methods  The study included 25 patients with borderline (50-75 %) coronary stenosis as per data of computed tomography angiography (CTA) or coronary angiography (CAG). Later the patients underwent invasive measurement of FFR and cardiac PCT on a 320-row detector tomograph in combination with the TE ECS stress test.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to evaluate the structural characteristics of atherosclerotic plaques in patients with acute coronary syndrome using coronary computed tomography arteriography (CCTA) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS).
  • Out of 37 patients, IVUS identified 45 unstable atherosclerotic plaques (UASP), including cases of rupture and thin-cap fibroatheromas, but no significant differences were found in plaque characteristics based on symptoms.
  • Key findings showed that irregular plaque contours and low-density patches were significantly more prevalent in UASP compared to stable plaques, increasing the likelihood of plaque instability.
