Intrapleural nivolumab in cancer patients with pleural effusion.

We assessed the preliminary efficacy and toxicity of intrapleural instillation of nivolumab in patients with large pleural effusion. Patients with metastatic cancers who have a large volume of pleural effusion and required evacuation were eligible. Thoracentesis followed by nivolumab (40 mg, single intrapleural instillation) was performed.

Multicenter phase 2 study of intrapleural nivolumab in patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer and pleural effusion.

About 40% of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) developed pleural effusions at some time during the course of their disease. Preliminary results from our Phase 2 multicentre clinical trial (Cohort 1) demonstrated the safety of intrapleural nivolumab in cancer patients. In Cohort 2 we assessed the preliminary efficacy and toxicity of intrapleural instillation of the nivolumab in patients with metastatic NSCLC and large pleural effusion requiring evacuation.

[Clinical efficacy of ct-guided transthoracic needle biopsy of peripheral lung lesions].

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a step-by-step protocol for GT-guided transthoracic biopsy in verification of peripheral lung tumors.

Material And Methods: A retrospective analysis of the results of GT-guided transthoracic biopsies of focal lung neoplasms was performed between October 2019 and December 2020. The analysis included the results of 176 biopsies in 158 patients.

Preoperative CT-based detection of extrapancreatic perineural invasion in pancreatic cancer.

Accuracy for computed tomography (CT) diagnosis of extrapancreatic perineural invasion (EPNI) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), which is a significant cause of recurrence, has not been established. The aim of the study was to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of CT in detecting EPNI preoperatively in resectable PDAC of the pancreatic head. Retrospective study design was approved by institutional review board.

[Experience of 100 transthoracic needle biopsies of the lung under CT navigation].

The aim of this study was to investigate and analyze the results of transthoracic needle biopsy of lung tumors under CT navigation. There were carried out more than 100 transthoracic needle biopsies of lung tumors. The analysis of immediate results of the applicability of this technique was performed.
