Objective: Endometrial cancer prognosis is related to stage, histology, myometrial invasion, and lymphovascular space invasion. Several studies have examined the association between pretreatment thrombocytosis and patient outcomes with contrasting results regarding prognosis. Nurses working in a long-term care facility could be at risk of developing compassion fatigue due to the nature of their work. In this descriptive, cross-sectional survey, we explored the level of compassion fatigue among nurses working in a long-term care facility, as well as the associated sociodemographic and occupational factors. In total, 103 nurses employed in various departments of a long-term care facility in central Israel completed the Hebrew version of the Professional Quality of Life Scale R-IV.

Background: Pain is a common subjective symptom among older adults in general and among older adult residents in long-term geriatric facilities in particular. Pain diminishes older adults' quality of life and may impair their ability to recover from various illnesses. Therefore, the Israeli Ministry of Health has issued guidelines on effectively assessing and treating pain in this population.

Friction force microscopy (FFM) in aqueous environments has recently proven to be a very effective method for lattice-resolution imaging of crystal surfaces. Here we demonstrate the use of ethanol for similar measurements on water-soluble materials. Lattice resolved frictional stick-slip traces of a cleaved NaCl(100) surface submerged in ethanol are compared with previous obtained FFM results in ultrahigh vacuum (UHV).

Objective: To identify coping strategies and socio-demographics impacting satisfaction with life and quality of life in Crohn's disease (CD).

Methods: 402 patients completed the Patient Harvey-Bradshaw Index, Brief COPE Inventory, Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), Short Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire (SIBDQ). We performed structural equation modeling (SEM) of mediators of quality of life and satisfaction with life.
