Assessing customer satisfaction: the case of test prescribers at the clinical biology laboratory of Centre Muraz/ Institut National de Santé Publique, Burkina Faso.

Context: Assessing customer satisfaction with a product or service is one technique for evaluating the quality of a product or service given by a company. One of the instruments used to gauge customer satisfaction is the satisfaction survey. The Clinical Biology Laboratory of Centre Muraz employed this method to determine how satisfied its test prescribers were to improve.

Identification and phylogenetic analysis of carbapenemase genes from clinical strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae.

Introduction: Klebsiella pneumoniae is an encapsulated Gram-negative bacterium that is responsible for numerous infections in healthcare facilities worldwide and is frequently isolated. The World Health Organization has listed K. pneumoniaeas as a critical antibiotic resistant bacterial pathogen for which new antibiotics are urgently needed.

Effect of the coconut fibers and cement on the physico-mechanical and thermal properties of adobe blocks.

This work aimed to investigate the effect of cement and coconut fibers on the thermal and physico-mechanical characteristics of adobe blocks. Thus, a clayey raw material consisting of kaolinite (62 wt%), quartz (31 wt%), goethite (2 wt%) with a plasticity index of 21.5 % was used to manufacture adobe blocks amended with cement and coconut fibers.

Sentinel laboratory compliance with best practices in Burkina Faso's antimicrobial resistance surveillance network.

Background: Standardising procedures is the best way to harmonise and strengthen the quality of laboratory-based antimicrobial resistance surveillance. Since 2018, Burkina Faso has developed and disseminated the national manual of procedures for performing antibiotic susceptibility tests in sentinel laboratories within its national antimicrobial resistance surveillance network.

Objective: Our study aimed to assess these sentinel laboratories' compliance with good practices for antibiotics susceptibility tests.
