Dielectric and Mössbauer studies of ferroelectric and magnetic phase transitions in A-site and B-site substituted multiferroic PbFe0.5Nb0.5O3.

In the present study, we diluted either A- or B- sublattice of perovskite multiferroic PbFe(0.5)Nb(0.5)O(3) (PFN) and studied the changes of the magnetic and ferroelectric phase transition temperatures and dielectric properties caused by such dilution.

[Health risk from ionizing radiation and other harmful sources: assessment methods and practical application].

The modern health risk assessment (HRA) methodology allows the development of the general HRA method applicable to any harmful source (ionizing radiation, harmful chemicals, nanomaterials and others). Specific methods and their simplified versions are developed on the basis of the general method. The main items of this approach to developing HRA methodology (risk indices and calculation formulas, exposure-response dependences, single and extended exposure to a harmful source, risk competition, etc.

Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PbFe1/2Nb1/2O3-PbTiO3 ceramics from the morphotropic phase boundary compositional range.

Dielectric, X-ray, and piezoelectric studies of highly-resistive Li-doped (1-x)PbFe(1/2)Nb(1/2)O(3)-(x)PbTiO(3) (PFN-xPT) ceramics from the 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2 range fabricated by solid-state synthesis and usual sintering have been carried out. Distinct anomalies of dielectric and piezoelectric parameters, corresponding to the transition between rhombohedral (monoclinic) and tetragonal ferroelectric phases, have been observed in pure PFN and PFN-xPT compositions with PbTiO(3) content up to 8 mol.

[Dermoid cyst of inguinal channel: review of the literature and clinical observation].

The literature digest and own clinical observation of the inguinal channel dermoid cyst was presented. It is necessary to take into account the possibility of a dermoid cyst existence, while performing differential diagnosis of inguinal channel pathology. To exclude malignancy and metastatising of dermoid cyst the determination of tumor markers (alpha-phetoprotein, beta-chorionic gonadotropin content) is indicated.

[The estimation of the state of endogenous intoxication in the development of experimental bile peritonitis].

The indices of endogenous intoxication were investigated in 45 dogs. It was shown that the development of 24-hour bile peritonitis was accompanied by pronounced endogenous intoxication with injured cell membrane structure and impaired activity of NO-synthases.
