The protein therapeutics market, including antibody and fusion proteins, has experienced steady growth over the past decade, underscoring the importance of optimizing amino acid sequences. In our previous study, we developed a fusion protein, R31, which combines retinol-binding protein (RBP) with albumin domains IIIA and IB, linked by a sequence (AAAA), and includes an additional disulfide bond (N227C-V254C) in IIIA. This fusion protein effectively inhibited hepatic stellate cell activation.

Our aim was to investigate the association between hypoglycemia agents, especially metformin, and long-term survival outcomes for patients with NMIBC treated with bacillus Calmette-Guérin.
Methods: All patients with NMIBC treated with intravesical BCG therapy from 2001 to 2020 were identified in a territory-wide database in Hong Kong.
Purpose: To systematically review the use of suction/vacuum-assisted retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in children/adolescents with kidney stones.
Methods: The PICOS model (Patient Intervention Comparison Outcome Study type) was used to frame and answer the clinical question; P: children and adolescent men with kidney stones; I: use of suction during PCNL or RIRS; C: no suction devices or none; O: complications and stone-free rate (SFR); S: prospective and retrospective studies; case reports. The literature search was performed on 14th May 2024 using Embase, PubMed, and Scopus.
Introduction: In de novo metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) treated with upfront intensification using androgen receptor signaling inhibitor or chemotherapy (Docetaxel), achieving a PSA nadir less than 0.2 ng/mL, indicative of superior survival in trials, may often be unattainable in real-world settings. We explored the predictive value of the degree of PSA decline and time to PSA nadir (TTPN) on oncological outcomes.

Patients And Methods: This post-hoc analysis included adult patients with solitary renal calculi ranging from 5 to 15 mm, treated with SWL between 2016 and 2022. All patients received cross-sectional imaging (either non-contrast computer tomography scan or magnetic resonance imaging) two days post-SWL to assess the presence and severity of perinephric hematoma.
