Objectives: To analyze the role of smoking, drinking, and their synergistic effect in the occurrence of potentially malignant oral disorders (PMOD).
Subjects And Methods: We examined three groups: 50 patients with lung cancer, 50 patients with liver cirrhosis, and 50 patients with clear medical history. Scores were developed for drinking, smoking, drinking & smoking, and PMOD.
Urodynamic examinations in patients with obstructive uropathy due to prostatic adenoma before and after prostatectomy were done over a 6-year-period (1981-1988) at the Department of Urology, Pula Medical Centre. In a comparative group of 30 healthy examinees and in 125 patients with obstructive uropathy as a result of benign prostatic hypertrophy, a maximal uroflowmetry and flow volume measurement were also performed. Control urodynamic studies were done 12 weeks after prostatectomy in 112 patients, and in 102 patients after 12 months.
