Design of immunoassay based biosensor platforms for SARS-CoV-2 detection using highly specific monoclonal antibodies.

The global expand of SARS-CoV-2 has highlighted the importance of early and rapid detection to control the spread of a pandemic. In this study, specific and high-affinity monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) were developed against the conserved nucleocapsid protein of the virus among variants. Appropriate antibody pairs were selected to develop a lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) and an unconventional application of an amperometric biosensor using unmodified screen-printed electrodes and external magnetic bead preparation.

Mental health service utilization among patients followed up in tertiary HIV/AIDS clinics in Turkey: A need for integrated care.

Objectives: Mental health (MH) care for people living with HIV (PLWH) emerges as an important unmet need, yet there are no integrated HIV-MH clinics in Turkey. Our aim is to determine MH service use and its associated factors in PLWH followed up in the HIV/AIDS outpatient clinics in Istanbul/Turkey.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at the HIV/AIDS outpatient clinics of the Infectious Diseases (ID) departments in hospitals affiliated with the ACTHIV-IST Study Group.

Assessment of Acrylamide Levels by Advanced Molecularly Imprinted Polymer-Imprinted Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) Sensor Technology and Sensory Quality in Homemade Fried Potatoes.

This study evaluated acrylamide (AA) levels and various quality parameters in homemade fried potatoes prepared in different sizes by integrating principles from the Slow Food Movement with advanced sensor technology. To this aim, a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor based on a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was first developed for the determination of AA in homemade fried potatoes at low levels, and the AA levels in the samples were established. First of all, monolayer formation of allyl mercaptane on the SPR chip surface was carried out to form double bonds that could polymerize on the chip surface.

Exploring the potential of digital therapeutics: An assessment of progress and promise.

Digital therapeutics (DTx), a burgeoning subset of digital health solutions, has garnered considerable attention in recent times. These cutting-edge therapeutic interventions employ diverse technologies, powered by software algorithms, to treat, manage, and prevent a wide array of diseases and disorders.
