A Vision-Guided Robotic System for Safe Dental Implant Surgery.

Recent advancements in dental implantology have significantly improved outcomes, with success rates of 90-95% over a 10-year period. Key improvements include enhanced preplanning processes, such as precise implant positioning, model selection, and optimal insertion depth. However, challenges remain, particularly in achieving correct spatial positioning and alignment of implants for optimal occlusion.

[Results of Russian multicenter trial of immunogenicity, reactogenicity and safety of new combination vaccine against hepatitis A and B (Twinrix)].

Results of registration trial of combination vaccine for prevention of hepatitis A and B are presented. The trial was conducted in 5 centers of Russia in 2004-2005 with full accordance to good clinical practice requirements and standards for multicenter open randomized trials. Immunogenicity of studied combination vaccine Twinrix was evaluated in comparison with two simultaneously administered monovalent vaccines against hepatitis A and B (Havrix and Engerix-B) in 200 healthy subjects aged 18-40, which were seronegative to hepatitis A and B.

[Potential for echographic diagnosis of postoperative cholecystitis at an intensive therapy and resuscitation unit].

It has been shown that it is possible to apply echographic diagnosis of cholecystitis developed in patients in the early period following surgery on the stomach under the conditions of an intensive care and resuscitation unit. A complex of echographic symptoms typical of inflammatory changes in the gallbladder is described. The method has been demonstrated to be valuable for confirming the clinical assumption of the presence of cholecystitis, subhepatic abscess.

[Evaluation of the condition of an allotransplanted kidney during the treatment with Sandimmune].

Instrumental-functional examinations (echography, rheography, electrothermometry) were performed in 22 patients with the allotransplanted kidney treated by Sandimmune and in 20 patients treated by standard immunodepression (Azathioprine and corticosteroids). An analysis of the examinations performed has shown reliable differences between the complications which involved the transplant size, cortical layer, skin-temperature gradient, the degree of the venous wave.
