The article presents the results of questionnaire survey of mothers brining up disabled children aged from 1 to 4 years organized to evaluate respondents' satisfaction with delivered medical care and to establish mothers'awareness of disease of child. The results testify that alongside with applied measures directed to improve quality of medical care the activities are needed to be applied to parents to increase their awareness of child health condition, causes of development of disease and characteristics of its course, methods and perspectives of treatment and prognosis of disease.

Aim: To detect correlations between changes in interferon (INF) system and a course of chronic pyelonephritis (CP), to ascertain a corrective effect of cyclopheron in combined treatment with antibacterial drugs.

Material And Methods: We examined 30 CP patients in different periods of the disease: group 1 had latent CP without laboratory evidence for exacerbation, group 2 had CP exacerbation treated with antibiotics, group 3 had exacerbation given basic treatment and cyclopheron by a standard scheme. All the patients were examined for interferon status, patients of groups 2 and 3 were examined once more after therapy.

The article considers the modern views on changes in the cytokines system in patients with chronic pyelonephritis, which is one of the most common kidney disease. In this study we summarize data obtained by different researchers who assessed the role of cytokines for the diagnosis and prognosis of chronic pyelonephritis and for the application of antibacterial and immunomodulatory therapy of this pathology. We present results, that indicate changes in the interferon system of patients with exacerbation of chronic pyelonephritis under both standard antibiotic therapy and its combination with interferon inducers.

Previously the developmental switch to caspase-3 activation in the rat hippocampus has been shown during the third week of life. The goal of this study was to explore effects of caspase-3 inhibition during this period on learning in a two-way avoidance paradigm. On postnatal day 18, the pups were intracerebroventricularly administered with caspase-3 inhibitor Z-DEVD-FMK.
