Introduction: Disturbances in microvascular flow dynamics are hypothesized to precede the symptomatic phase of Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, evidence in presymptomatic AD remains elusive, underscoring the need for therapies targeting these early vascular changes.
Methods: We employed a multimodal approach, combining in vivo optical imaging, molecular techniques, and ex vivo MRI, to investigate early capillary dysfunction in Tg-SwDI mice without memory impairment.
We assess how immigrant parent legal status shapes children's physical and mental health. Using the Hispanic Community Health Study of Latino Youth-a multi-site dataset-we evaluated mean differences in multiple physical and mental health indicators and parents' and children's stress and resilience by parents' (primarily mothers') legal status (N = 1177). We estimated regression models of two overall child health outcomes-allostatic load and any internalized disorder.

Using magnetic resonance imaging, we investigated the two-year changes of the cerebral microvascular blood flow in 11 mild cognitively impaired (MCI) patients with prodromal AD compared to 12 MCI patients without evidence of AD and 10 cognitively intact age-matched controls. The pAD-MCI patients displayed widespread deterioration in microvascular cerebral perfusion associated with capillary dysfunction.

Our objective was to correlate SctO 2 with cerebral oxygen extraction fraction (OEF) measured using positron emission tomography; OEF is the ratio between cerebral metabolic rate of oxygen and cerebral oxygen delivery and reflects the balance between these 2 variables.
