Introduction: There is consistent evidence that may be a driver gene in B-ALL and that selected cases may benefit from the use of FLT3 inhibitors. Our study was conducted to evaluate the frequency and types of FLT3 mutations in pediatric patients with B-ALL, the relative expression of this gene, and their influence on clinical evolution.
Methods: We evaluated 156 children with B-ALL treated between July 2018 and September 2023.
Introduction and aims The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a significant burden on healthcare systems worldwide, especially in the management of critically ill patients. Accurate assessment of energy expenditure (EE) is crucial for providing optimal nutritional support and improving clinical outcomes in these patients. Indirect calorimetry (IC) is the preferred method for measuring EE, yet its use in critically ill COVID-19 patients has not been extensively documented.

Municipal wastewater (MW) and industrial wastewater from juice processing (IWJ) were blended in different proportions to assess the effect of the carbon/nitrogen (C/N) ratio on pollutant removal, microalgal biomass (MB) cultivation, and the accumulation of carotenoids and biocompounds. MB development was not observed in treatments with higher C/N ratios (>30.67).

Convergent evolution of similar phenotypes suggests some predictability in the evolutionary trajectories of organisms, due to strong and repeated selective pressures, and/or developmental constraints. In adaptive radiations, particularly in cichlid fish radiations, convergent phenotypes are commonly found within and across geographical settings. Cichlids show major repeated axes of morphological diversification.
