Structural Insights into Plant Viruses Revealed by Small-Angle X-ray Scattering and Atomic Force Microscopy.

The structural study of plant viruses is of great importance to reduce the damage caused by these agricultural pathogens and to support their biotechnological applications. Nowadays, X-ray crystallography, NMR spectroscopy and cryo-electron microscopy are well accepted methods to obtain the 3D protein structure with the best resolution. However, for large and complex supramolecular structures such as plant viruses, especially flexible filamentous ones, there are a number of technical limitations to resolving their native structure in solution.

Primary hyperparathyroidism clinical features on endocrinology in-patients clinic.

Aim: The analysis clinical features of primary hyperparathyroidism on endocrinology in-patients clinic.

Materials And Methods: Open retrospective study, included data of patients who were hospitalized at Kirov Regional Hospital with primary hyperparathyroidism from January 01, 2013 to December 31, 2016.

Results: 23 patients were hospitalized.

Aim: To analyze the types of attitude towards disease, their relationships to its course in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM).

Subjects And Methods: 418 patients with DM, including 318 with type 2 DM (T2DM) and 100 with Type 1 (T1DM), were examined. Clinical and laboratory examinations were performed; the types of attitude towards the disease were studied.

Synthesis and Evaluation of Novel [1,2,4]Triazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]-triazines and Pyrazolo[5,1-c][1,2,4]triazines as Potential Antidiabetic Agents.

Inhibition of the dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP4) enzyme activity and prevention of advanced glycation end (AGE) products formation represents a reliable approach to achieve control over hyperglycemia and the associated pathogenesis of diabetic vascular complications. In the frames of this research study, several triazolo- and pyrazolotriazines were synthesized and evaluated as inhibitors of AGE products formation, DPP4, glycogen phosphorylase and α-glucosidase activities, as well as AGE cross-link breakers. From the two considered classes of heterocyclic compounds, the pyrazolotriazines showed the highest potency as antiglycating agents and DPP4 inhibitors.

[Typical management practice in outpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in cities, towns, and villages].

Aim: To analyze one-year typical management practice in outpatients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in cities, towns, and villages.

Subjects And Methods: 438 records of T2DM outpatients regularly visiting their physicians during 2009 were retrospectively analyzed. Group 1 included 221 outpatients from 7 polyclinics of the Kirov Regional Center; Group 2 consisted of 227 patients from 36 districts of the Kirov Region.
