In this contribution, we have designed and synthesized a novel carbazole-1,3,4-oxadiazole based bipolar fluorophore (E)-2-(4-(4-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)styryl)phenyl)-5-(4-(tertbutyl) phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (CBZ-OXA-IV). Wittig reaction is utilised for the synthesis of the designed bipolar target compound CBZ-OXA-IV. H NMR, C NMR, FT-IR and ESI-MS results confirmed the designed chemical structure of the fluorophore CBZ-OXA-IV.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe influence of bath hydrodynamics on the resultant micromechanical properties of electrodeposited nickel-cobalt alloy system is investigated. The bath hydrodynamics realized by magnetic stirring is simulated using COMSOL Multiphysics and a region of minimum variation in velocity within the electrolytic cell is determined and validated experimentally. Nickel-cobalt alloy and nickel coating samples are deposited galvanostatically (50 mA/cm) with varying bath velocity (0 to 42 cm/s).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA series of novel alkyl substituted purines were synthesized. 6-[4-(4-Propoxyphenyl)piperazin-1-yl]-9H-purine was used as the key starting material, which was synthesized via a multistep protocol and finally subjected for N-alkylation with various alkyl halides with an aim to get prospective antimicrobial agents. The structures of the novel compounds were established by substantiating them through spectral techniques like H-NMR, C-NMR, FT-IR and EI-MS.

In the quest of new molecules, the present study aimed to explore the potential of pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidine derivatives as antiproliferative agents. In vitro anticancer screening of selected compounds was done by the National Cancer Institute's Developmental Therapeutics Programme against a panel of 60 cancer cell lines.
