The role of CBT in enhancing health outcomes in coronary artery bypass graft patients: a systematic review.

Background: Coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) is a common intervention for managing coronary artery disease, which is often accompanied by postoperative psychological challenges such as anxiety and depression. This systematic review aims to evaluate the benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in reducing anxiety and depression symptoms and improving overall health outcomes in patients' post-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery.

Methods: A search of Science Direct, PsycINFO, PubMed, Google Scholar, VHL, Cochrane, and Scopus databases was conducted until October 2023.

Risk Factors of Rheumatic Heart Disease in a Children's Hospital in Khartoum: A Case-Control Study.

Background: Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) is the most prevalent acquired cardiac illness in Sudan, arising as a complication of acute rheumatic fever (ARF). Additionally, Sudan exhibited a wide diversity in the distribution of RHD. The echocardiographic screening revealed 3/1000 cases in one region (Khartoum), while in another region (Nort Kordofan), it revealed 61/1000 cases.

Outcomes following surgical fixation of Gustilo-Anderson IIIb open tibial fractures.

There is no consensus as to the optimal skeletal fixation method for Gustilo-Anderson IIIb fractures. External fixation methods have previously shown higher rates of superficial infection, whilst internal fixation has shown higher risk of deep infection, but lower risk of other complications. This paper investigates outcomes in open tibial fractures based on fixation method.

Workplace Violence Toward Doctors Working in Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency Units in Khartoum North Locality, Sudan: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Workplace violence (WPV) is any action, incident, or behavior that deviates from appropriate conduct and results in a person getting assaulted, threatened, harmed, or injured at work. This research aimed at studying the current state of WPV among doctors working in obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) emergency departments (EDs) in Khartoum north locality (KNL), Sudan   Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study that included 128 doctors from six governmental hospitals in KNL. A self-administered questionnaire assessing the prevalence and outcomes of WPV was distributed.
