Effects of Immunotoxicity biomarkers, essential elements and vitamin D levels on the severity levels of COVID-19 disease in Turkey.

Many mechanisms are thought to play a role in the pathogenesis of the COVID-19 pandemic, which started in 2019 and affected the whole world. It has been claimed that a deficiency in the immune system can significantly affect the severity of COVID-19 disease. It is important that the levels of essential elements and vitamin D are at certain levels for the healthy functioning of the immune system.

Comparison of General Anesthesia with Spinal Anesthesia in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Operations.

Objective: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) operations are being performed under general anesthesia (GA). Further studies are needed on the issue whether these operations can be performed under spinal anesthesia (SA). In this study we aimed to compare SA with (GA) in terms of efficacy and complications in patients who will undergo LC operations, and to investigate the effects of preemptive analgesia on the development of shoulder pain, transition to general anesthesia, and postoperative analgesia.

Comparison of clinicopathological findings among patients whose mammography results were classified as category 4 subgroups of the BI-RADS.

Objective: Our aim is to compare mammographic, demographic and clinicopathological characteristics of patients whose mammographies were classified as subgroups of BI-RADS 4 category (Breast Imaging - Reporting and Data System).

Methods: In total, 103 patients with mammography (Senographe 600t Senix HF; General Electric, Moulineaux, France) results classified as BI-RADS 4 were included in the study. Demographic data (age, menopause, and family history) were recorded.
