Childhood and adolescence are pivotal periods for mental health. The hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis is the primary stress system and its chronic activation is measurable via hair cortisol concentration (HCC), indicating long-term stress exposure. While HCC is linked to adult mental health, this relationship remains unclear among youth.

Methods: We examined the acute effects of commercially available group fitness classes (indoor cycling, resistance training, combined exercise) on arterial stiffness and vagal-related heart rate variability (HRV) indices in twelve young and twelve middle-aged adults.
L., or mulberry, is a susceptible fleshy fruit due to its high respiratory rate and low storage stability, which shortens its shelf life and makes it difficult to commercialize in natura. Edible coatings, thin membranes produced directly on the desired surface, could improve food preservation, among other properties.

Case Reports: Case 1: a 29th-week-old female preterm newborn, admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit, became clinically unstable and irritable on the 20th day of hospitalization.
We report a rare case of congenital herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) infection in a neonate born to a mother with no clinical evidence of genital HSV infection either before or during pregnancy. Routine prenatal ultrasound assessments in the first two trimesters were unremarkable, and infectious disease screening results were negative. The pregnancy, however, was complicated by premature rupture of membranes (PROM) at 24 weeks of gestation.
