There has been tried in the treatment of those individuals (n = 259) actually in the ChNPS zone in May-June 1986, the enterosorbent CKH. Enterosorption in the complex of therapeutic measures applied for those patients presenting with intensive contamination with radionuclides provides effective detoxication, improves the functional state of the liver and kidneys, makes for a rapid elimination of radionuclides both by their direct adsorption in the intestinal lumen and mediate mechanisms, which effects lower morbidity rates in early periods after radioactive contamination.

It has been shown that men living in the Extreme North experience the tension of thermoregulation and its effectors. The main systems that maintain thermal balance of the body are the cardiovascular system and external respiration taking an active part in the processes of physical and chemical thermoregulation. The double load of the key system leads to non-economic and rapid spending of the functional reserves and risk of early development of disadaptation phenomena.

The kallikrein-kinin system (KKS) is activated in all forms of acute pancreatitis. The severity of toxemia in patients with pancreatitis correlates with KKS activity. 2-3 hemosorption procedures performed in patients with hemorrhagic pancreatitis in the first 1, 2 and 3, 4 days normalizes KKS activity by days 3-5, leads to a rapid improvement of the clinical manifestations of the disease, shortens the treatment period and improves the results.
