While extensive research has focused on its growth characteristics, secondary metabolites, and control measures, its chemical interactions with the environment-particularly the role of flavonoids in shaping soil microbial communities-remain underexplored. In this study, we identified and quantified ten flavonoids from root exudates using UPLC-MS, including Hispidulin, Isorhamnetin, and Mikanin.

Vaccinating children with disability in low- and middle-income countries, such as Fiji, is a key priority for equity. This study aimed to understand the social and behavioral drivers of vaccine uptake among children with disability in Fiji, from the perspectives of health, disability, and community stakeholders. Five qualitative focus groups were conducted with 22 stakeholders, including healthcare workers, disability service providers and advocates, and community and faith leaders (female n = 17, 77%).

This study examines sex-specific trends in self-rated health and educational attainment in the United States. We also consider how educational improvements shape trends in self-rated health and whether these associations differ by sex. We draw on 1972-2018 General Social Survey data to extend past research through the recent period when American population health has stalled or declined.

Background/objectives: Cerebral palsy (CP) affects a substantial number of children, particularly in low- and middle-income countries such as Bangladesh. Maternal health literacy is critical to the health and well-being of children with CP, particularly in low-resource settings. In this study, we sought to assess how the mPower (mother's power) community-based intervention impacted mothers' CP-specific knowledge, as well as their utilization of rehabilitation services in rural Bangladesh.

The concern of potential toxic elements (PTEs) contamination in the river ecosystem is growing due to anthropological activity. The contents of seven PTEs in sediments from the Balu River channel were analyzed using atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) and an environmental risk model. Several PTEs were found in the sediment at high levels, including zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), arsenic (As), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), nickel (Ni), and mercury (Hg), that might pose a risk to human and ecological health.
