[A neuropharmacological study of a hydroxazine derivative].

Neuropharmacological studies with the compound 2-methyl, 3-phenyl, 3-methyltransxydroxasino-propiophenon hydrochloride with cipher PS1, were carried out on rats as well as follow-up of development of drug dependence after continuous usage of the substance. The obtained showed that the compound S1 had stimulating influence on the central nervous system of amphetamine-like type. After prolonged administration of amphetamine and the compound PS1 it was established in rats that amphetamine induced development of tolerance and occurrence of hypersensitivity during withdrawal.

[Effect of a tetrahydroxazine derivative on conditioned and unconditioned reflexes of experimental animals].

The influence of a newly synthesized tetrahydroxalic derivative with aphrodistatic action under the code name of PC-1 was studied in white rats of Wistar strain on conditioned and unconditioned reactions for avoidance of averse stimuli (sound, light, electric current with tension of 30 volts). The experiments were carried out on nonavoiding animals, selected in advance. Parallel experiments were undertaken with the preparation Imipramine (Pharmachim).

[Androgenic and aphrodesiac action of the medicinal plant Lithospermum Arvense (bird millet)].

Acute toxicity, androgenic, gonadotropic, estrogenic and aphrodisiac effect of the whole medical plant Lithospermum aver arvense and its seeds was investigated on white rats and white mice. It was established that Semen Lithispermi arvense were nontoxic--LD50 in white rats and white mice was over 3000 mg/kg of body weight. The water extract of plant seeds, administered orally, in a dose of 300 mg/kg of body weight, had manifested aphodisiac and androgenic action.
