The impact of hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) on clinical-immunologic indexes in complex treatment of an acute diffuse peritonitis of appendicular genesis in children was studied up. Efficacy of the HBO application in moderate immunodepressive state, registered in this disease, was noted.

Gastric and duodenal ulcer in exacerbation was accompanied by dysbacteriosis of the large intestine, uncontrolled augmentation of the processes of free-radical lipid oxidation against the background of impairment of functional systems of antiradical defence, which fact plays its part in relapsing of gastroduodenal ulcer.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFDecrease in the frequency and degree of ulcer-like pain and dyspeptic syndromes, tendency toward transition to ulcer disease, increase in the frequency of concomitant disorders of digestive system, and of age-related background diseases, were revealed as a result of the examination of 118 patients with chronic primary gastroduodenitis. Lowered indices for the stomach acid formation, atrophy of gastroduodenal mucosa, general disturbances in bioenergetics occurred more often than not. Restriction in anthacides, use of agents capable of improving microcirculation, reparation, energy exchange, and phytotherapy, are the options recommended.
