We studied the effect of acute vital stress on the parameters of the hemostasis system in young and old Wistar rats. The psychotraumatic effect was simulated as a situation of emotional stress at the sight of a predator (Indian python) catching and eating a conspecific. In young rats, acute vital stress was followed by inhibition of platelet aggregation, hypercoagulation by the external pathway and final stages of plasma hemostasis, and a decrease in fibrinogen and antithrombin III levels against the background of fibrinolysis activation.

We performed experimental evaluation of various positions (ear, paw, and tail) of the of dynamic light scattering sensor of near-infrared laser radiation (840 nm) using speckle interferometry in rats. Dynamic monitoring of the reactions to prolonged ultrasound exposure (7 days) showed that the base of the tail is most suitable for this purpose. Additionally, analysis of microcirculation parameters on the surface of skin autograft was performed.

Ultrasound, one of the most physically impactful factors of the modern human living environment, can cause hemodynamic changes in the microvasculature and the hemostatic system. Such shifts can be considered as possible predictors of cardiovascular diseases and their complications. This study aimed to examine the effect of 7-day in-air insonation on the microvasculature and hemostatic system of rats.

Variable-number tandem repeat (VNTR) polymorphisms of DRD4 and DAT genes were studied in the Russian and Chechen men convicted of crimes, and two control groups comprised of the MMA fighters and a sample of general population. A group of MMA fighters included only the subjects without history of antisocial behaviour. DNA was isolated by phenol-chloroform extraction from the blood.

Healthy young persons with different degrees of physical training have been impacted with exposure to a stress (a single physical exercise). It caused unidirectional hypercoagulative shifts and activation of anticoagulant and fibrinolytic blood systems. It was shown that changes of the untrained individuals' haemostatic parameters could be adjusted with adaptogen preliminary administration.
