Advances in cancer treatments have significantly improved their effectiveness, yet access to first-line therapies remains limited. A 2017 survey revealed that over 25 % of metastatic melanoma patients in Europe lacked access to recommended therapies. To address this, the European Association of Dermato-Oncology and the European Melanoma Registry conducted a follow-up study on the registration and reimbursement of first-line treatments.

Methods: We used the European Melanoma Registry (EUMelaReg), a disease entity-based registry specific for melanoma, to examine treatment and outcomes for adult patients with stage III melanoma with lymph node involvement who had complete resection and received adjuvant treatment with pembrolizumab. The primary objectives were to describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of the included patients as well as time on adjuvant pembrolizumab treatment (TOT), real-world recurrence-free survival (RFS) and distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS) from adjuvant pembrolizumab initiation.
Radical polymerization was used to synthesize and characterize (co)polymers with sodium styrenesulfonate (NaSS), 4-methacryloylamidosalicylic acid (MASA), and -vinylpyrrolidone, which have a low cytotoxicity and a high antiviral activity against the human respiratory syncytial virus. The interaction of copolymers with Tb ions was studied. The complexes formed in dilute aqueous solutions at a concentration of MASA units ⩽ 1 · 10 mol L demonstrate a strong luminescence.

Next-generation sequencing (NGS) has become the gold standard for advanced microbiome analysis; however, 3rd generation real-time sequencing, such as Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT), enables rapid sequencing from several kilobases to >2 Mb with high resolution. Despite the wide availability and the enormous potential for clinical and translational applications, ONT is poorly standardized in terms of sampling and storage conditions, DNA extraction, library creation, and bioinformatic classification.

The complexes were characterized by size exclusion chromatography, hydrodynamic and optical methods, scanning electron microscopy, and spectral methods (UV, IR, Н NMR spectroscopy). It was demonstrated that in going from polymer to complex, hydrodynamic parameters of macromolecules change only slightly, although the polymer contains intramolecular Ga(VIDA) fragments in its structure.
