A novel operational protocol for the establishment of a medical facility for receiving returning hostages: structure, process and outcomes.

Background: On October 7, 2023, Hamas carried out an unprecedented attack on the State of Israel and kidnapped 251 people into captivity to the Gaza Strip. Several months later, as part of a humanitarian exchange deal, 105 hostages were released in five phases and admitted to one of six hospitals throughout the country for treatment. Shamir Medical Center (SMC) was one of these facilities.

The topic of the diagnosis of phaeochromocytomas remains highly relevant because of advances in laboratory diagnostics, genetics, and therapeutic options and also the development of imaging methods. Computed tomography still represents an essential tool in clinical practice, especially in incidentally discovered adrenal masses; it allows morphological evaluation, including size, shape, necrosis, and unenhanced attenuation. More advanced post-processing tools to analyse digital images, such as texture analysis and radiomics, are currently being studied.

Frequency of benign tumors after partial nephrectomy and the association between malignant tumor findings and preoperative clinical parameters.

Background: Partial nephrectomy (PN) has become the dominant treatment modality for cT1 renal tumor lesions. Tumors suspected of malignant potential are indicated for surgery, but some are histologically classified as benign lesions after surgery. This study aims to analyze the number of benign findings after PN according to definitive histology and to evaluate whether there is an association between malignant tumor findings and individual factors.

Characteristics for Medical Cannabis Treatment Adherence among Autistic Children and Their Families: A Mixed-Methods Analysis.

Introduction: Medical cannabis treatment for autistic children has recently become popular, and studies have focused on examining the treatment's effects on children's symptom presentation, reported side effects, and dropout rates. However, no previous study has investigated the factors influencing adherence and dropout rates in cannabis treatment.

Method: This explanatory sequential mixed-methods study explored these factors by examining the characteristics of 87 autistic children and their families and deepening parents' perspectives and experiences of the 6-month CBD-rich cannabis treatment's benefits and barriers.
