Isolated sphenoid sinus Mucoceles (SSM) are quite rare, comprising less than 1% of all paranasal sinus mucoceles. Due to the critical position and proximity of the sphenoid sinus to vital structures, SSMs can cause a multitude of symptoms and complications.
