Nanomedicine uses cutting-edge technologies that emerge from interdisciplinary influences. In the literature, there are very few in vivo and in vitro studies on how cerium oxide (CeO) affects systemic anti-inflammatory response and inflammation.

Biological Characterization of One Oxadiazole Derivative (5(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-2-(N-Phenyl Amino)-1,3,4-Oxadiazole): In Vitro, In Silico, and Network Pharmacological Approaches.

Oxadiazole compounds are of great interest because they have a range of biological activities ranging from antioxidants to anticancer agents. Against this background, we wanted to demonstrate the antioxidant, enzyme inhibitory, and anticancer effects of 5(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(N-phenylamino)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (Hppo). Antioxidant abilities were measured through free radical scavenging and reducing power tests.

Neural network analysis as a novel skin outcome in a trial of belumosudil in patients with systemic sclerosis.

Background: The modified Rodnan skin score (mRSS), used to measure dermal thickness in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc), is agnostic to inflammation and vasculopathy. Previously, we demonstrated the potential of neural network-based digital pathology applied to stained skin biopsies from SSc patients as a quantitative outcome. We leveraged deep learning and histologic analyses of clinical trial biopsies to decipher SSc skin features 'seen' by artificial intelligence (AI).

Comparison of Home Blood Pressure Monitoring with and without Training: Does Adherence to the Recommended Instructions Overlook Hypertension?

Background: Home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) is commonly used to diagnose hypertension (HT), with a diagnostic threshold of ≥135/85 mm Hg, the same as daytime ambulatory BP monitoring (ABPM). This study hypothesizes that training and adherence to HBPM guidelines will yield more accurate BP readings compared to ABPM.

Methods: The study involved 129 patients with elevated office BP but no prior HT diagnosis.

Association Between Eyelid Twitching and Digital Screen Time, Uncorrected Refractive Error, Intraocular Pressure, and Blood Electrolyte Imbalances.

Introduction:  Previous studies have shown that isolated eyelid myokymia (EM) is usually caused by stress, fatigue, and caffeine consumption. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the association between EM and digital screen time, uncorrected refractive error, intraocular pressure (IOP), and blood electrolyte levels.

Methods: Between February 2023 and June 2024, 103 eyes of 103 patients who applied to the ophthalmology outpatient clinic with complaints of eyelid twitching lasting for more than two weeks and 103 eyes of 103 healthy individuals as a control group were included in the study.
