Aim: Our study was designed to evaluate the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the follow-up of surgically treated osteochondrosis dissecans (OCD) of the talus.
Method: We investigated 16 patients (18 joints) with OCD of the talus, surgically treated in our department between 1990 and 1997. All of them had preoperative MRI scans of the affected ankle.

Purpose: Recent studies indicate that transcranial sonography (TCS) reliably displays the extension of malignant brain tumors. The effect of integrating TCS into radiotherapy planning for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) was investigated herein.
Methods And Materials: Thirteen patients subtotally resected for GBM underwent TCS during radiotherapy planning and were conventionally treated (54 to 60 Gy).
To investigate the accuracy of a single high-speed core biopsy, in 159 stereotactically localised nonpalpable breast lesions a single high-speed core biopsy was performed prior to open surgery. All pathological findings of the specimen, core biopsies and open biopsies, were compared. Two biopsies were technically insufficient.
