The aim of the present study was to establish the disorders of mineral metabolism and production of monocyte chemoattractant protein type 1 (MCP-1) and plasminogen activator inhibitor type 1 (PAI-1) in patients with diabetic nephropathy (DN) at different stages of the disease. We examined 78 patients with DN aged from 57 to 76 years. Fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23), MCP-1 and PAI-1 levels in blood serum were determined by ELISA.

Objective: Introduction: Vascular endothelium function interruption has the main role among mechanisms of development and progression of chronic kidney disease. In numerous experimental and clinical studies, it was proved that activated vascular endothelium is a structural and functional unit that matches processes of inflammation with intravascular coagulation, fibrinolysis and haemorheological disorders. The aim: To identify special features of endothelium morphological structure in kidney vessels, coronary arteries and aorta during chronic kidney disease.

The habituation of the peak-to-peak amplitudes of N1P2 and P2N2 complexes of the evoked potentials as responses to series of the increasing number of visual and acoustic stimuli was investigated in 55 male and female volunteers aged 20-30. The size and speed of the habituation process were approximated by hyperbola. The shape and coefficients of the hyperbola were correlated with high, medium and low levels of the anxiety and probably reflected the balance between synchronization and desynchronization processes in the cortex.
