PROGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF BLOOD MARKER OF HYPERTROPHY- CARDIOTROPHIN-1 WHEN CARRYING DIFFERENT VARIANTS OF ITS GENE IN MEN WITH ESSENTIAL HYPERTENSION.

Objective: The aim: To improve diagnosis of essential hypertension with left ventricular hypertrophy and chronic heart failure in men citizens of Podillya region in Ukraine by determining the plasma levels of cardiotrophin-1 in patients with different CT-1 gene variants.

[A comparative study of the efficacy of antiseptics used for preventing infectious complications].

The results of comparative study of antimicrobial properties of decamethoxine and chlorhexidine bigluconate are presented. It is established that resistant to antibiotics strains of pathogens of nosocomial infections were highly susceptible to decamethoxine. Decamethoxine and, to a lesser degree, chlorhexidine bigluconate have a bactericidal effect in treatment of hand skin of the medical staff of surgical department.

[Evaluation of the effectiveness of antiseptic prevention of bacterial involvement].

Infectious complications markedly decrease the efficacy of surgical and contact correction of the vision because of insufficient activity of the drugs used for prophylaxis and treatment of eye infections. Efficacy of decamethoxin, chlorhexidin, catapole, fogucide, thionium and some specific formulations from abroad was compared in decontamination of soft contact lens (SCLs). It was shown that the chemical sterilization by the tested substances did not change the optical properties of the SCLs.
