This paper describes a fast and flexible microfabrication method for thermal conductivity gas sensors useful in high-temperature applications. The key parts of the sensor, the microheater and the package, were fabricated from glass-coated platinum wire and the combination of laser micromilling (ablation) of already-sintered monolithic ceramic materials and thick-film screen-printing technologies. The final thermal conductivity gas sensor was fabricated in the form of a complete MEMS device in a metal ceramic package, which could be used as a compact miniaturized surface-mounted device for soldering to standard PCB.

Background And Aims: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a form of inflammatory bowel disease, and antibodies against tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) are used for treatment. Many patients are refractory or lose response to anti-TNF, and predicting response would be an extremely valuable clinical tool. Unlike most biomarkers, cytokines directly mediate inflammation, and their measurement may predict the likelihood of response or no response.

A multilayer Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) film of the self-assembled electron donor-acceptor dyad of Zn phthalocyanine, appended with four long-chain aliphatic ether peripheral substituents, and an imidazole adduct of C60 was prepared and applied as a photoactive material in a photoelectrochemical cell. Changes in the simultaneously recorded surface pressure and surface potential vs area per molecule compression isotherms for Langmuir films of the dyad and, separately, of its components helped to identify phase transitions and mutual interactions of molecules in films. The Brewster angle microscopy (BAM) imaging of the Langmuir films showed circular condensed phase domains of the dyad molecules.

The prophylaxis and treatment methods of the gut stress ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding in early postoperative period in patients suffering malignant tumors of abdominal cavity organs were presented. High efficacy of proton pump inhibitor Omez in the injection form was noted for prophylaxis of the gut stress ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding in early postoperative period. There was shown, that Omez constitutes one of the main components of complex antisecretory therapy of the gut stress ulcers and gastrointestinal bleeding in persons, operated on for oncologic disease.
