Health is a fundamental human right, yet healthcare facilities are not distributed equitably across all communities. This study aims to investigate the distribution of healthcare facilities in Nassau County, New York, and examine whether the distribution is equitable across different social vulnerability levels. An optimized hotspot analysis was conducted on a dataset of 1695 healthcare facilities-dental, dialysis, ophthalmic, and urgent care-in Nassau County, and social vulnerability was measured using the FPIS codes.

Prolonged complete response after neoadjuvant capecitabine-gemcitabine for a locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma: A case report.

Background: Pancreatic duct adenocarcinoma is increasing in incidence without appreciable decrease in overall survival despite decades of heightened research. Its mortality rate approaches its incidence rate. We report a case of carcinoma of the pancreas that had complete response from adjuvant chemotherapy.

Depressed erythropoietic activity in Nigerian pregnant women.

Reticulocytes production index was determined in 63 pregnant women and in 96 patients. The results show that 86% of the pregnant women, who were registering their pregnancy for the first time, were anaemic. There was significant reticulocytopenia in all the anaemic pregnant women and in the patients.
