[Skin grafts with axial blood supply in correcting post-traumatic defect of the foot].

The analysis of the results of the surgical treatment and the orthopaedic provision of 117 patients with extensive wound defects of the feet has allowed the authors to consider the most important factors to be as follows: the determination of the limits of the saving approach to the preservation of the bone matrix, the choice of the optimal method of dermatoplasty (the method of plasty, the type of the graft) and the rational prosthetic and orthopaedic provision. Such approach has allowed to work out the possible versions of the surgical treatment using the grafts with axial blood supply in 6 main types of the injuries of various segments of the foot.

[Complications in preparations for prosthesis for children with defects of the extremities by Italian plastic surgery and surgery using Filatov's flap].

The authors make an analysis of results of skin plasty in 67 children. The amount of complications was shown to be considerably high but the operations are thought to be justified after performing medico-training prosthezing.

[Plastic surgery in preparing lower extremity stumps for prosthesis].

The experience with 113 dermatoplastic operations on lower extremities is described. The invalids with lower extremity stumps have obtained an opportunity to use modern prostheses.

[Reconstructive-restorative operations of the skin after amputation of the limbs].

Up to 70% of cases admitted for primary prosthetics after amputation of the extremities suffer from some defects aod diseases of the stumps requiring surgical treatment. The experience of the Leningrad Scientific Research Institute of Prosthetics with 593 reconstructive-restorative operations on the stumps of the extremities allows to define indications for skin plasty on the stumps and to assess the advantages and drawbacks of different methods.
