Background: Continuous antipsychotic (AP) therapy is crucial for managing psychotic disorders, and its early interruption reflects the drug's failure. Real-world epidemiological research is essential for confirming experimental data and generating new research hypotheses.
Methods: The persistence of oral APs in a large population sample from 2000 to 2021 was analyzed by comparing AP prescriptions over this period across four Italian provinces, using dispensing data linked via a record-linkage procedure among regional healthcare utilization databases.
Background: Previous research has assessed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on adolescent mental health (MH). How the pandemic changed healthcare resource utilisation for MH conditions was investigated less, however, in particular in Italy.
Methods: Data concerning outpatient visits in child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHSs), access to emergency departments (EDs), hospital admissions and drug prescriptions collected in administrative databases of the Lombardy Region, Italy, concerning adolescents 12-17 years old and occurring in the 2016-2021 period were analysed.
Objectives: Current data on arterial and venous thrombotic events (ATE & VTE) and cardiovascular (CV) risk management in European systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) population are limited. This study aimed to investigate the incidence and risk of thrombotic events and all-cause death in an Italian SLE cohort over the past decade, along with its pharmacotherapy.
