Background: Oral mucositis is a common complication in pediatric cancer patients, affecting up to 80% of children. Due to neutropenia and disruption of the mucosal barrier, chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis is often complicated by super-infections.
Case Report: A 16-years old male with stage 3 Burkitt's lymphoma developed chemotherapy induced oral mucositis grade 3 (according to WHO scale).
This study was performed to investigate the role of Noroviruses (NV) in sporadic cases of acute diarrhoea among hospitalized children in Brescia Hospital. NV were the most frequently involved viruses (23.7%) and were more common in children >5 years (23/63) than in children <5 years (6/59).

Study Design: A prospective, clinical trial in which carriers of group B streptococci were randomized to receive topical intravaginal clindamycin or oral amoxicillin.
Patients: We randomized 105 pregnant women: 55 received 2% clindamycin vaginal cream (100 mg/day for 7 days) and 50 oral amoxicillin (2 g/day for 7 days).
Mycoplasma have been suggested as co-factors in the pathogenesis of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).
