Background: There are few data on the treatment of children and adolescents with multidrug-resistant (MDR) or rifampicin-resistant (RR) tuberculosis, especially with more recently available drugs and regimens. We aimed to describe the clinical and treatment characteristics and their associations with treatment outcomes in this susceptible population.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and individual participant data meta-analysis.
Pancreatic panniculitis is a rare dermatological manifestation of pancreatic disorders, characterized by painful, erythematous nodules. We present the case of an 84-year-old woman with acute pancreatitis who developed erythematous-violaceous nodular lesions on her lower limbs. Histopathological examination revealed lobular panniculitis with fat necrosis and ghost adipocytes, confirming the diagnosis.

Although most LCIS cases show an absence of E-cad expression on the neoplastic cell membranes, some show aberrant E-cad expression which can lead to diagnostic confusion. Awareness and understanding of the frequency, patterns, and distribution of aberrant E-cad staining in LCIS is crucial to achieving a correct diagnosis.

Materials And Methods: Forty-eight lithium disilicate CAD/CAM ceramic blocks were fabricated, sintered, and embedded in acrylic resin. After contamination with human saliva, they were divided according to the factors "Cleaning method" (Control-water/air spray, Air-particle abrasion with AlO, Ivoclean cleaning paste), "Surface treatment" (5 % Hydrofluoric acid-HF + Silane, Monobond Etch & Prime-MEP), and "Aging" (thermocycling, no thermocycling).
Eugenol has pharmacological properties, but its impact on renal function is limitedly studied. Thus, this study evaluated the effects of eugenol at 10, 20, and 40 mg kg, administered via gavage for 60 days, on histological, biochemical, oxidative, and proteomic parameters in rat kidneys. Adult Wistar rats treated with 10 mg kg of eugenol had kidneys with low total antioxidant capacity, high nitric oxide content, and high percentual of blood vessels, with no damage to renal function or morphology.
