It is known that the properties of myocardium affect ECG. We studied the dependence of some ECG characteristics on the threshold of excitation by means of mathematical modeling of monomorphic arrhythmias in a homogeneous two-dimensional excitable medium. We found that monomorphic arrhythmias appear at both decreased and increased values of the excitation threshold, but there are some differences between ECG characteristics for such cases.

The data obtained for galacturonic acid, neutral and aminouronic oligosaccharides are discussed. This method is suggested for determining the composition of oligosaccharides from the O-specific polysaccharides and for elucidating their structures after modifications.
