This study describes a 3D fused deposition modeling (FDM) printing process using a graphene-impregnated polylactic acid (G-PLA) filament to create a new type of rigid, plastic, nonconductive, and anticorrosion layer. Therefore, the possibility of 3D printing a plastic layer using FDM methods is demonstrated herein. A commercial magnet such as N35 NdFeB can be used to produce an efficient shielding film by additive manufacturing.

Efficiently managing agricultural waste while innovating to derive value-added products is a significant challenge in the 21st century. In recent decades, these by-products have been increasingly explored as alternative sources for materials such as biosilica. Biosilica is renowned for its high surface area, biocompatibility, chemical stability, and modifiable surface, which makes it suitable for various applications.

Purpose: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the factors associated with failure requiring extraction after placement of preformed metal crowns (PMCs) in primary molars. Radiographic caries depth at baseline (initial/moderate and severe) and placement technique (Conventional and Hall technique) and other patient-related variables were analysed.

Methods: Clinical and radiographic records from children aged 2-10 years who had at least one primary molar treated with PMCs between 2011 and 2019 were evaluated.

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of two methods for non-invasive mechanical ventilation in patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) - using a helmet interface with a flow meter and positive end-expiratory pressure valve versus a traditional mechanical ventilator.

Material And Methods: We conducted a single-center randomized clinical trial involving 100 adult SARS-CoV-2 patients in a specialized private hospital. Participants were randomly assigned to two groups: one using the helmet interface with a flow meter and positive end-expiratory pressure valve and the other employing conventional mechanical ventilation.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to investigate the ophthalmological effects of dry eye disease on the quality of life of COVID-19 survivors who had been hospitalized.
  • The evaluation included various tests for dry eye disease and a quality of life questionnaire, with most patients reporting severe or critical COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Results showed a significant link between dry eye symptoms and lower quality of life ratings, indicating that those suffering from dry eye experienced worse overall health and well-being.
