- The study aimed to assess how effective controlled ovarian stimulation is in various menstrual cycle phases for cancer patients who want to preserve their reproductive materials before treatment.
- A total of 140 cancer patients were given ovarian stimulation in two different phases: the standard protocol in the follicular phase and a random-start protocol during the luteal phase.
- Results showed no significant differences in the number of oocytes retrieved between the two groups, indicating that both stimulation protocols are equally effective, paving the way for tailored reproductive strategies in cancer care and Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART).
Problem: Interleukin 8 (IL-8), vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), its receptors 1 (VEGFR1) and 2 (VEGFR2) are associated with ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) pathophysiological mechanisms.
