Small Split Doses of CD34 Peripheral Blood Stem Cells to Support Repeated Cycles of Nonmyeloablative Chemotherapy.

Cumulative myelosuppression is the main limiting factor for administration of repeated cycles of chemotherapy. We present a case series of five pediatric patients with high-risk solid malignancies who received small split peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC) doses of less than 1 × 10/kg CD34 cells obtained after a single leukapheresis procedure and given after repeated cycles of ICE (ifosfamide, carboplatin, and etoposide) chemotherapy. Mean duration to absolute neutrophil count (ANC) recovery to >1000/mm and platelet recovery to >50 × 10/mm was 17.

Regional medico-dosimetric register (RMDR) is a system of interrelating information blocks including data on Siberian Group of Chemical Enterprises (SGCE) personnel. At present SGCE personnel and Seversk residents RMDR database includes information on 138496 persons, 65538 of which are SGCE workers.

Immunophenotypic peculiarities of mobilized stem (CD34+) cells in blood from patients with severe spinal cord injury.

Immunophenotype of mobilized stem blood cells (CD34+) was studied in 29 patients with late post-traumatic spinal lesions. The CD34+ cells demonstrated different levels of expression of CD45, CD38, monomorphic determinants HLA-DR and gp130 epitopes. Most patients presented with a CD34+ cell fraction with no or low expression of common leukocytic antigen CD45.
