Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates anatomical differences in the vascular structures related to Crowe type 4 hips, aiming to understand how the femoral artery and vein relate to the acetabulum compared to normal hips.
  • Forty patients with one dysplastic hip and one normal hip underwent CT scans, marking specific regions of the acetabulum and measuring the proximity of femoral vessels to these areas.
  • Results show that both femoral vessels are significantly closer to the acetabulum on the dysplastic side, highlighting the need for careful intraoperative consideration to prevent vascular injuries during surgery.
